Bordeaux set to sign Honduras forward Alberth Elis

L’Équipe report this morning that Bordeaux are close to reaching an agreement with Boavista over the signing of Honduran international Alberth Elis.

The 25-year-old, who previously played for Houston Dynamo and Monterrey, looks set to join the Ligue 1 side, with talks well underway. The right-winger’s arrival would not hinder the potential signing of Clermont striker Mohamed Bayo, whose arrival is also being negotiated by the Marine et Blanc.

The Honduran scored eight goals last season in Portugal’s top flight, and has 11 goals in 47 caps for his country. In addition to Elis, left-back Ricardo Mangas is also set to make the move from the Gérard Lopez-owned Portuguese side.
