Christophe Galtier declines Lyon

RMC Sport report that Christophe Galtier formally declined an offer from Lyon today to become Les Gones’ new manager.

The proposal was a 3-year contract, offering Galtier the possibility to bring in up to 4 assistants, but this afternoon he informed Lyon President Aulas via message that he would not be accepting the proposition.

Ligue 1 title-winning boss Galtier’s future now almost certainly lies with OGC Nice, having travelled today to the Mediterranean for more talks.

Les Aiglons began a seduction operation for the ex-Lille boss several months ago and with Napoli hiring Luciano Spalletti, barring any late offer from a new club, the road is clear for the INEOS project to close a deal.
