France announce revised squad for the Olympics

Following last week’s embarrassment of announcing a squad to appear for France at the Olympics where half of the players had actually not been given permission by their clubs to participate, France on Friday announced a new 21-man strong list of players to compete in the Japan games.

Goalkeepers: Stefan Bajic (St Étienne), Paul Bernardoni (Angers), Dimitry Bertaud (Montpellier)

Defenders: Melvin Bard (Lyon), Anthony Caci (Strasbourg), Ismaël Doucouré (Valenciennes), Pierre Kalulu (AC Milan), Clément Michelin (Lens), Timothée Pembélé (PSG), Modibo Sagnan (Real Sociedad)

Midfielders: Alexis Beka Beka (Caen), Jérémy Gelin (Rennes), Enzo Le Fee (Lorient), Téji Savanier (Montpellier), Florian Thauvin (Tigres), Lucas Tousart (Hertha Berlin)

Attackers: André Pierre Gignac (Tigres), Randal Kolo Muani (Nantes), Isaac Lihadji (Lille), Nathanaël Mbuku (Reims), Arnaud Nordin (St Étienne)
