Antoine Griezmann and his brother Theo have this week announced that they have temporarily put a stop to their Esports team, Grizi Esport.
The decision comes in the wake of a host of their players reaching the end of their contracts, as a result of which the pair deemed it was “it is wiser to for us to take a break in our activity in order to reflect on the future of the organisation”.
RMC Sport add that various Esport events had been cancelled as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, leading to a decrease in sponsorship revenue, with the Griezmanns’ team also losing out on key FIFA players in September.
