L’Équipe report that 20-year-old Togo international and Nîmes striker Kévin Denkey has agreed personal terms with Belgian 1st division and Monaco satellite club Cercle Brugge over a 3.5 year contract.
Talks continue between the two clubs to see if an agreement can be reached, but Denkey will not be in Les Crocos’ squad to face Lille today.
The player has six months remaining on his current deal with the Ligue 1 side and already arrived in Belgium on Wednesday where he underwent and successfully passed a medical.
However, fee negotiations between the two clubs continue to rumble on, 4 months after the player came inches away from signing for Club Brugge, who are at the top of the Belgian 1st division.
Denkey did receive an extension offer from Nîmes but has turned that down.
