Lucas Digne stays with France squad, but unlikely to play again

L’Équipe report that the French medical staff have decided to keep Everton left-back Lucas Digne in the squad, despite examinations today revealing a quadricep and right thigh problem that rules him out of next Monday’s Round of 16 clash vs Switzerland.

He has been kept on because there is small hope that he will be able to feature again between now and the final on 11th July should Les Bleus make it that far.

For Hernandez, he is 50/50 in terms of being fit vs Switzerland, but more generally the outlook is more positive than many were expecting for the Bayern man in terms of being available for the rest of the tournament.
