Marco Verratti out vs Bayern Munich following positive COVID-19 test

PSG have released a statement on Friday announcing that Italian international central midfielder Marco Verratti has tested positive for COVID-19.

As a result of the positive test, he is out for at least 7 days and will therefore miss PSG’s 1st leg Champions’ League quarter-final clash with Bayern Munich on Wednesday evening. He was already confirmed out for Saturday’s critical clash with Lille owing to a thigh problem.

This is Verratti’s second positive COVID-19 diagnosis, having already been given the same outcome ahead of a match vs Lorient in January.
