Nice and Denmark striker Kasper Dolberg has this morning revealed that he has type 1 diabetes following the result of a medical test received this week.
The 26-year-old took to his Instagram to make the announcement, explaining that this would be the reason why he had been feeling “a bit off” in the last couple of weeks. The Danish international has also reassured fans that he has been told by doctors that, with the right treatment, the diagnosis will have no effect on his playing career.
Dolberg states that he already feels better, and that he will not go on Denmark duty this upcoming international break in order to get used to the treatment. The forward had been absent for Les Aiglons’ matches against Marseille and Angers.
