La Liga have tonight confirmed the return of Antoine Griezmann to Atlético Madrid, who joins on loan from Barcelona with a permanent clause included in the deal.
The World Cup winner has now returned to Los Colchoneros, having played in red and white for five seasons between 2014 and 2019 before leaving for Barcelona after a protracted transfer saga.
Gianluca Di Marzio reported that the final documents for the transfer were signed at 11.59pm local time, with La Liga later confirming that the contracts had in fact been submitted on time.
