Philippe Clement in advanced talks to join AS Monaco

L’Équipe report that Club Brugge manager Philippe Clement has confirmed to AS Monaco that he wishes to accept an offer to become their new manager, following the sacking of Niko Kovač.

Clement, who has won 3 Belgian 1st division titles, has agreed a deal with Monaco in principle to replace the Croatian coach – now talks are underway between the two clubs about a buy-out fee. Brugge in the meantime are searching for a suitable replacement.

In the Principality, sources are confident that Clement could arrive in Monaco as soon as Saturday or Sunday.
