Rennes enter the race to sign Gaëtan Laborde

L’Équipe report today that Rennes have joined the list of clubs interested in signing Montpellier striker Gaëtan Laborde, with the Brittany club looking to bolster their attacking options after qualifying for the Conference League group stage this week.

Rennes have initiated contacts with Montpellier to begin discussions for a move that could reach the €20m mark – nevertheless, the likes of Lyon, West Ham, Sevilla and Zenit St Petersburg are also interested in the 27-year-old.

The former Bordeaux man has been with MHSC since 2018, forming an impressive duo up front with Andy Delort, who also appears to be leave the club, in his case to Nice.
