Speaking in an interview with Record, Bordeaux midfielder Toma Basic confirmed his desire to move to Benfica, after the Portuguese side registered an interest in him.
“Benfica is a big club, one of the biggest in Portugal. I have been made aware of the interest that they have in me. Like for all players, I want to grow step by step to make a big splash in my career. If a formal offer is made, we will discuss and see what is best for the club and I. For the moment, I am a Bordeaux player and I do not wish to speak about other clubs. I have not spoken with anyone about the Portuguese league.”
