105 arrests made during Champions League final

Amidst the chaotic scenes at the Stade de France during Real Madrid’s Champions League final victory over Liverpool, the interior ministry reported that 105 arrests were made.

The figures were released on Sunday in the aftermath of Saturday night’s final. They added that 39 people were held in custody. The Interior Minister, Gérald Darmanin, in a tweet, pointed the finger of blame at British supporters, who “without tickets or with falsified ones, forced their way through entrances.”

There were no major incidents in the major fan zones in the city. Approximately 40,000 Liverpool fans attended the Liverpool fan zone, which was located in the east of the city.
