As reported by Loïc Tanzi, PSG midfielder Ander Herrera visited Athletic Club of Bilbao’s headquarters yesterday to agree on some of the final details of his move back to the Basque club this summer.
The 33-year-old midfielder will join the Spanish side on a free transfer from PSG after he was included on a list of 11 players deemed surplus to requirements this summer following the arrival of Luis Campos as sporting director and Christophe Galtier as the new coach.
According to reports in Spain, Herrera will sign a two-year deal with Bilbao. Herrera and PSG have been negotiating the termination of his contract that ties the midfielder to the French club until 2024 with a €6m net yearly salary, despite some reports that Herrera has been refusing to leave PSG this summer.
Since joining from Manchester United in 2019, Herrera has played 95 times for PSG, scoring six goals and assisting six more.
