Angers consider Moataz Zemzemi as Azzedine Ounahi replacement

Sébastien Denis is reporting that SCO Angers are considering Niort’s Moataz Zemzemi (23) as a replacement for Azzedine Ounahi (22), who is strongly linked with a move away from the Ligue 1 club.

It is expected that Ounahi will leave Angers in January. The midfielder shone at the World Cup with Morocco, and is attracting interest from some of Europe’s elite. Barcelona, Napoli and Leicester City have all been linked with the Angers midfielder, who according to L’Équipe is rated at around €45m.

Angers are already planning for Ounahi’s potential departure and are lining up replacements. The Ligue 1 side are considering Zemzemi, who is a regular starter at Niort, who languish towards the bottom of Ligue 2. However, Angers aren’t the only interested party. According to Denis, Brest are also interested in the midfielder, who Niort would be willing to let leave. Zemzemi’s current contract expires in June 2024.
