TyC Sports decided to broadcast a number of interviews and interactions with the first Argentina fans to arrive in Qatar this week, including a group of individuals who decided to take the airtime to sing racist, anti-France chants.
“Spread the rumour, they play in France but all come from Angola. How beautiful, they will run. They like transvestites like that f*** Mbappé. His mother is Nigerian, his father is Cameroonian, but on the nationality document it says French.”
Argentina’s last World Cup match occurred in the Round of 16 at the 2018 edition of this tournament, occurring in Russia, where Les Bleus beat the then Jorge Sampaoli-managed outfit 4-3.
It would appear that there is still some animosity on the part of Argentinian fans towards France, over 4 years on.
France kick-off their World Cup campaign on Tuesday vs Australia and, unlike other World Cup-participating nations, will not be playing any pre-tournament friendlies.
