Saint-Étienne’s Arnaud Nordin (23) will join Montpellier when his contract with Les Verts expires this summer, according to L’Équipe.
The forward will leave his formatory club when his contract expires on 30th June, despite the best efforts of the club to get him to renew his current deal. The length of his deal at Montpellier isn’t yet known, but L’Équipe have speculated that it will be a three-year contract.
The French youth international has registered four goals and four assists in Ligue 1 this season. For Saint-Étienne, his loss not only weakens their squad, but also constitutes a financial blow. The relegation-threatened club are needing to carry out sales in order to balance the books, so they are disappointed to be losing a €4 million asset on a free.
