Arsenal and Liverpool lead the race for Lille striker Jonathan David

As reported by Le10Sport, Arsenal and Liverpool are favourites to sign Lille’s Canadian striker Jonathan David after the 22-year-old, according to his agent, decided he would like to leave LOSC this summer.

The outlet report that relations between David, who ended a nine-game goal drought in the 4-0 defeat of Clermont this weekend, and his employers have cooled of late which has solidified David’s thinking over his future.

Arsenal have made the Canadian a summer recruitment priority while Liverpool, who are long-term admirers, are positioning themselves ahead of the summer window too. PSG are also interested in the player but, for now, he isn’t a priority target for the club’s sporting director Leonardo, while fellow suitors Inter Milan have not yet followed up their initial inquiries.
