Ignazio Genuardi is reporting that Serie A sides Juventus and Inter Milan have joined Bayern Munich in showing an interest in Borussia Mönchengladbach’s France forward Marcus Thuram (25).
L’Équipe have already revealed the Bavarian giant’s interest in Thuram, whose contract at Mönchengladbach expires this summer. Bayern Munich are looking for a striker following Robert Lewandowski’s departure to Barcelona this summer. Although Thuram’s contract expires in the summer, L’Équipe have reported that Bayern Munich could be tempted to make a move for him this winter.
According to Genuardi, Bayern Munich could offer Thuram a huge salary. However, they could face competition from Inter Milan and Juventus, who are also showing interest. Meanwhile, Genuardi added that interest from English clubs mustn’t be underestimated. Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have an “attentive eye” on the player, whilst Newcastle United and Aston Villa could be tempted into making a bid for the player this winter.
Thuram’s brilliant club form has been rewarded with a call-up to the France squad, and following Karim Benzema’s withdrawal from Didier Deschamps’ squad, the Mönchengladbach forward could see his playing time increased.
