Bordeaux set to sign Aliou Badji

Foot Mercato are reporting that Bordeaux have struck a deal with Amiens for the sale of Senegalese centre-forward Aliou Badji (24), whilst the player has also agreed terms over a move.

According to Foot Mercato, the player is expected in Bordeaux later today in order to complete the move. The deal is initially a loan deal, which includes a purchase option of €4.5m.

Badji only joined Ligue 2 rivals Amiens earlier this summer after his loan move from Egyptian side El Ahly was made permanent for a fee thought to be just under €2m. During his first year in Ligue 2, he scored 13 goals in 26 games, averaging a goal every two games. However, he has yet to score in three appearances this season.

He could join Alberth Elis (26) at the club. The Honduran international could end up staying at the club, despite interest from Girona and Real Valladolid.
