Boubacar Kamara held extensive talks with Roma who then switched to Sergio Oliveira

As reported by Ignazio Genuardi, Italian club Roma tried to convince Marseille defensive midfielder Boubacar Kamara to move to Roma this month.

Extensive talks were held between the parties before Jose Mourinho’s side moved onto Porto, and former Nantes, midfielder Sergio Oliveira. Roma, however, were unable to convince Kamara to join the club.

The 22-year-old Marseille academy graduate is coming to the end of his contract and has been widely linked with clubs across Europe but has reportedly decided not to leave this month, leading Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Chelsea to make contact with the player’s agent over a deal for this coming summer.
