Chelsea looking to replace N’Golo Kanté with younger options

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kanté may be playing his last season with the club.

The World Cup winner has been unable to secure a new contract with the club and it now appears that the midfielder will be leaving at the end of the season as a free agent.

Kanté has been with the club since 2016 after a breakout season with Leicester City where he won the Premier League in his final season. The French international would repeat that accomplishment again his first year with Chelsea.

While with Chelsea, Kanté also won the award for the Premier League player of the year, Chelsea player of the year, French player of the year and the World Cup with France in 2018.

It is unreported where Kanté may go after the season. It was also reported that the player would “love” to stay with Chelsea, but the club has already begun looking for a younger replacement.
