Christophe Galtier now favourite for PSG job despite Max Allegri talks

As reported by Foot Mercato, OGC Nice coach Christophe Galiter is now the front runner to replace Mauricio Pochettino as PSG coach after the Argentine was reportedly informed he would be sacked last week, costing the club between €15m and €20m.

New sporting director Luis Campos’ overhaul of the club’s processes and management continues after he set up an elite group of young players to be trained by the senior staff while adjusting the club’s transfer policy, pulling out of talks for Ousmane Dembélé.

Galtier, who Campos worked with at Lille before their title win last season, is Campos’ pick for the PSG coaching job despite owners QSI chasing Zinedine Zidane. Campos, however, has also spoken with Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri over the job in recent days.

Former Roma, Tottenham and Lille assistant coach, João Sacramento, is expected to join Galtier at PSG, should he get the job after the pair worked together at LOSC. He is the first of a group of assistants set to be added as Galtier’s potential PSG staff grows. PSG, however, are still yet to contact Nice over signing their coach.
