Although Christophe Pélissier, who in his third season managing Lorient, led his side to safety in Ligue 1, was reassured of his continuation at the club by president Loïce Féry on Monday, L’Équipe are reporting that his position is in doubt.
The paper is reporting that the announcement of a “roadmap” where all management staff, players, and Pélissier himself must meet before the beginning of the season, throws into doubt Pélissier’s continuation as manager.
L’Équipe continues, revealing that Régis Le Bris is a name that is being pushed internally at the club. Le Bris currently works at the club as the coach of the N2 side.
Sporting director Christophe Le Roux also reportedly “asked questions about his own future at the club,” although he has confirmed that he will stay on at Lorient despite numerous disagreements with Pélissier.
