Cristiano Ronaldo offered his services to PSG

According to Le Parisien, Manchester United’s five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo (37) recently offered his services to the French champions Paris Saint-Germain. The 37-year-old, who rejoined the Red Devils last summer after an absence of twelve years, is reported to be keen on leaving the club after a challenging season, in which both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick failed to find a way to integrate the legendary forward into the squad.

The French publication report that it was Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes, who maintains strong relations with Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and Luis Campos following his management of the capital side’s acquisition of Portuguese midfielder Vitinha (22). The Portuguese agent has also been working on the negotiation of Renato Sanches’ impending arrival from Lille.

Despite the offer, Paris Saint-Germain refused the potential contribution of the five-time Champions League winner, arguing that there is no place for another star like Ronaldo in the team. They believe that their attacking positions are sufficiently covered, and more importantly would struggle to manage the 37-year-old’s financial impact. Furthermore, the club are continuing to pursue the signature of another legendary striker, Robert Lewandowski (33).
