David Beckham “glad” to miss PSG-Real Madrid so he can celebrate both team’s goals at home

In speaking with the PSG club website, former England captain David Beckham explained he’s happy not to attend the meeting between his former clubs, PSG and Real Madrid, at the Parc des Princes this evening as he would prefer to be free to celebrate both team’s goals from the comfort of his own home.

“I’m glad I won’t be at the stadium watching. Watching two clubs I played for go up against each other, would have been an exciting spectacle to watch, but, to be honest, I want to be at home, sat in front of my TV. Then I can jump up for both teams when they score.”

Beckham also remained confident on PSG’s pursuit for European glory, saying: “Sometimes it takes time for things to fall into place. People always want it to work immediately, but you have to be patient. And suddenly, it clicks. In any case, I’m sure it won’t be too long.”
