According to GOAL France only a few details are left to settle in order for the transfer of Idrissa Gueye from PSG to Premier League side Everton to be completed. The two clubs are reportedly close to an agreement with the player also optimistic about signing a two-year deal (plus another year option) in a return to Merseyside.
L’Équipe reported that Everton, last Friday, restarted talks with PSG over the possible transfer of Senegalese international midfielder Idrissa Gueye.
The 32-year-old agreed in principle to move to the Toffees several weeks ago, but Everton want the player to join on a free transfer whilst PSG transfer supremo Antero Henrique is seeking to extract a fee.
Talks restarted today and Everton consider the conversations to have been positive, despite notable interest from FC Porto.
Gueye, who has been training away from the 1st team for several weeks under the orders of Luis Campos, has 12 months remaining on his current deal with PSG.
All parties expect his return to Everton to be positively concluded in the coming days.
