FFF President says Christophe Galtier an option to succeed Didier Deschamps

In speaking to Europe 1, FFF president Noël Le Graët (80) confirmed that, should Didier Deschamps decide to leave the French national team coaching role after the World Cup in November, OGC Nice coach Christophe Galtier could replace him. After namechecking Zinedine Zidane, Le Graët said:

“Obviously Galtier too… Look at what the man has done. I barely knew him, I have to be honest, or at least not at this level. What he did for Lille and what he’s doing at Nice deserves respect. He’s an excellent French coach. There are good coaches in our country and, if I’m still in office when or if Didier ever decides to leave us, which is still a long way away, his replacement will be a Frenchman.”
