Franck Haise after 10 man win: “The players were exceptional. This is a victory of cohesion.”

In speaking after his side’s impressive 3-0 win over Champions League chasing Nice on Sunday, despite playing much of the game with 10 men, Lens coach Franck Haise had nothing but praise for his players:

“We’re very happy with the joy given to all our fans, and to us too, thanks to the players. At the break, to be able to give ourselves chances, we had to rectify a few aspects on the defensive level. We had to make the players believe that an 11 man team was going to open up. The players were exceptional. This is a victory of cohesion, of sacrificing for each other – a great victory for a group that I’ve been very happy to lead for two years. My pride will not depend on the final classification, my pride will depend on the behaviour of my players until the end of the season.”
