France assistant manager Guy Stéphan, who was deputising for the mourning Didier Deschamps tonight, has given an update on Kylian Mbappé’s fitness after the forward came off injured in the defeat to Denmark.
His words transcribed in RMC Sport, Stéphan indicated that the Paris Saint-Germain would be taking tests after the match in order to determine the exact nature, alongside defender Raphaël Varane.
“Kylian has a knee issue. I don’t know the exact nature of it, he’s going to undergo medical exams. Raphaël has a muscular problem behind the thigh. He felt some pain. He’s also going to take medical exams as well.”
