Lazio prepare Benjamin Bourigeaud move as Luis Alberto replacement

As reported by Ignazio Genuardi, Lazio are preparing to launch a move for Rennes’ attacking midfielder Benjamin Bourigeaud in the coming days.

The Rome club are looking to the 28-year-old Frenchman as a possible replacement for Luis Alberto who is interesting Sevilla this summer transfer window.

Bourigeaud’s future is in flux this summer as his contract has just a year left to run and, despite an offer to extend, he is yet to agree a new deal. After an outstanding season for Rennes, Bourigeaud has expressed an interest in playing overseas for the first time in his career with Lazio, and Roma, long term admirers of the player.

Making it into double figures for Ligue 1 goals and assists this season, only Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe managed more assists, the midfielder was arguably France’s standout player this season, other than Mbappe.
