Lens make Nottingham Forest’s Brice Samba their priority signing

Mohamed Toubache-TER reports this afternoon that Nottinham Forest goalkeeper Brice Samba is Lens’ priority signing for the summer, with the club following him in the last few months.

The Athletic had reported earlier today that the former Caen man, who earned promotion to the Premier League with his team this season, had informed his club that he would not be signing a new contract and that he intended to leave this summer.

An agreement between the two clubs has not yet been reached, but the move would allow Samba to join up with his former goalkeeping coach at Caen, Hervé Sekli, who is set to move to the north of France from Bastia this summer.

Samba is set for a return to France after a three-year spell in the Championship, in which he impressed over a total of 133 appearances.
