Get French Football News editor in-chief Raphaël Jucobin – who was present at PSG’s Camp des Loges this morning – reports that both Lionel Messi and Presnel Kimpembe are fully fit ahead of the Parisiens’ Ligue 1 fixture against AJ Auxerre this weekend.
It is also reported that Fabian Ruiz will once again miss out due to his containing issue with a left hamstring injury which was picked up in PSG’s Champions League tie against Juventus earlier this month. The former Napoli man started the match in Turin but was forced off after just 20 minutes – it looks unlikely he will be ready in time for a call-up to the Spain squad for the World Cup, which is being announced today.
Lionel Messi missed out on last week’s trip to Lorient (1-2) as a precautionary measure due to an inflamed achilles tendon. The 35-year-old has reportedly not asked to be rested ahead of the World Cup, with the match against Auxerre this weekend being the final domestic fixture before the tournament. Kimpembe suffered a similar issue, but was called up for France’s squad for the upcoming World Cup this week, and should feature against Auxerre.
