As reported by L’Équipe, Lorient are interested in signing Marseille veteran goalkeeper Steve Mandanda.
In a bid to sign reinforcements as they struggle against the drop to Ligue 2, the Breton side needs goalkeeping options following some poor displays by the current number one Paul Nardi and France international Mandanda, now 36, is considered an option.
Mandanda has fallen out of favour this season under Jorge Sampaoli with Pau Lopez now first choice. However, the sports daily report, that sources close to the player suggest an approach would not be successful.
OGC Nice were linked with Mandanda too this month but sporting director Julian Fournier quashed the idea in a recent interview.
