As reported by L’Équipe, incoming PSG sporting director Luis Campos is considering joining the race to sign Lille centre-back Sven Botman this summer.
Paris are looking to sign a central defender this coming window and have opened talks with Inter Milan over a move for Milan Škriniar (27), with Campos attending discussions between the sides. But Campos could yet focus on 22-year-old Botman, say L’Équipe.
AC Milan had been long-term front runners to sign the Dutchman, who Campos initially bought to Lille in 2020 from Ajax before LOSC won the Ligue 1 title last year, but Milan have become less confident in recent days due to strong Premier League interest.
Botman, who missed a chunk of the season with an injury, is planning on leaving Lille this summer. When asked whether this would be his final season at Lille, the player said: “I’ll see. If things go as planned, then yes. But first of all, I want to finish this season well.”
