Foot Mercato are reporting that Olympique Lyonnais are closely monitoring Christophe Galtier’s position at OGC Nice. The Frenchman is said to be unhappy with the transfer dealings at the Riviera club, and is seeking face-to-face talks with Jim Ratcliffe.
Although Lyon are preparing to begin next season with Peter Bosz in charge, Foot Mercato have revealed that they are nonetheless keeping “an attentive eye” on Galtier’s position at Nice.
Nice Matin reported that Galtier’s relationship with sporting director Julien Fournier had deteriorated since January, when the former feels he wasn’t sufficiently backed in the January transfer window. Consequently, Galtier is now hoping for face-to-face talks with Ratcliffe, and is to ask to be given the chance to work once more with Luis Campos.
Should Galtier’s relationship with the club hierarchy deteriorate further, Lyon would be prepared to seize the opportunity, with Bruno Cheyrou, Lyon’s head of recruitment, said to be a particular fan of Galtier’s work.
