According to Nice-Matin, AS Monaco attacking midfielder Maghnes Akliouche (20) has turned down loan approaches from German and Spanish clubs in order to fight for his place at his formative club this season.
Akliouche won’t leave the Principality club this summer. The recent winner of the Tournoi Maurice Revello (former Toulon), who was awarded third-best player of the tournament, is set to fight for his place at Monaco.
The France U20 international had offers from German and Spanish clubs. Nice-Matin report that Hertha Berlin and recently-promoted Werder Bremen were “attentive to his situation,” whilst in Spain, Real Sociedad, Cadiz and Girona had also “ticked his name.”
Akliouche “feels capable of imposing himself at his formative club” having broken into the first-team during the 2021/2022 campaign. He made 9 appearances in all competitions, including 7 in Ligue 1, and registered an assist in the side’s Coupe de France quarter-final victory against Amiens.
