Man United’s Erik ten Hag targeting Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech

According to French journalist Nabil DjellitManchester United manager Erik ten Hag wants the club to sign Chelsea attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech (29) – however members of United’s recruitment department are not unanimous about the Moroccan’s profile, hence any lack of movement on any possible deal.

Ziyech played under Erik ten Heg at Ajax from 2017 to 2020 in a successful spell for the Dutch side which saw a domestic double in 2018/19 and a Champions League campaign which led to a semi-final finish – knocking out Real Madrid and beating Juventus in the quarter-finals before being knocked out in the dying seconds of the semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Moroccan international joined Chelsea in 2020, and has made 83 appearances for the Blues and hitting the back of the net 14 times – winning the Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, as well as the UEFA Super cup with the West London side.
