Marco Verratti’s Ibiza apartment burgled

According to the Spanish publication AS, Marco Verratti, who has been staying in an apartment owned by Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazario, was the victim of a break-in during the early hours of Sunday morning. The Diario de Ibiza report that around three millions euros’ worth of valuables, including watches and jewellery. The thieves also took cash.

The culprits reportedly took advantage of the fact that there was no one in the town, located in the Cala Jondal area, in Sant Josep, to carry out the assault. The Italian international and his French wife Jessica Aidi were not in the property at the time of the robbery.

This follows a number of similar incidents, with Dani Olmo also having been targeted in Valencia a matter of days ago, losing his watch, worth 30,000 euros. Other PSG stars have been targeted by thieves in recent months too, with Angel Di Maria suffering a burglary last year, and Marquinhos’ father being attacked in March 2021. Sergio Rico, Thiago Silva and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting have also historically been victims of attacks.
