Marseille are trying to push out Álvaro González, Bordeaux and others still keen

As reported by Foot Mercato, Marseille are still trying to push out Spanish defender Álvaro González with Bordeaux and various foreign clubs still hoping to sign him before the end of the window.

The 32-year-old, given his comfortable salary, does not plan to leave OM this month but Bordeaux’s offer to sign the player after banishing various first-teamers, including Laurent Koscielny, remains on the table.

Interest from Spain, including from Osasuna and Levante, has little chance of coalescing unless OM cover part of the player’s salary which is currently €220,000 per month. Despite interest from Galatasaray, there’s nothing concrete between the parties as yet. Both Valencia and Strasbourg have expressed an interest this month also.
