Mauricio Pochettino: “Neymar has progressed enormously in recent games”

Speaking with Amazon Prime Video after PSG’s 2-1 win over Marseille this weekend, Paris coach Mauricio Pochettino praised the improvement of Brazilian striker Neymar in recent games after a goal and an assist for the 30-year-old against OM. Pochettino said:

“Neymar has progressed enormously in recent games and is getting better and better. I’m very happy with his work and his commitment. He’s very involved, he has incredible talent and he did a very good job. This was not an easy season for him to manage, between the Copa America, which deprived him of pre-season preparation, and his injury afterward. He is trying to give his best and he proved it with this evening’s performance.“
