Monaco to earn €35m from Kylian Mbappé renewal with PSG

RMC Sport report this afternoon that Kylian Mbappé’s former club Monaco will earn €35m from the forward’s renewal with Paris Saint-Germain.

The France international had joined on an initial loan deal in 2017, with a permanent option set at €180m. As initially revealed by Football Leaks, the first instalment would be a €90m fee the following summer, and €55m the year after.

The final €35m depended on an additional clause, by which Mbappé would have to either sign for another club or extend his contract at PSG.

Had he left on a free at the end of next month instead of signing a new deal this Saturday, the 23-year-old’s former club would not have received any money.
