Monaco’s Benoît Badiashile wants Premier League move amid Newcastle interest

L’Équipe report today that Monaco defender Benoît Badiashile still has interest from the Premier League, but Monaco’s upcoming transfer revenue could make a move difficult.

The principality side are set to bring in no less than €130m at the start of the summer thanks to Kylian Mbappé’s Paris Saint-Germain extension as well as Aurélien Tchouaméni’s move to Real Madrid.

Although Newcastle are looking to bring in the French centre-back, and Badiashile himself is dreaming of the Premier League, Monaco do not necessarily need the €40m on the table.

The 21-year-old is under contract until 2024, and made 24 appearances in a season hampered by a hamstring injury, as his team finished 3rd.
