In an interview with Ukranian journalist Vlada Zinchenko, Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhailo Mudryk has confirmed that he was the subject of interest this past summer transfer window from Ligue 1 side Nice, as translated by Ben Jacobs.
The 21-year-old was linked with a move to Les Aiglons at the start of August, with Foot Mercato reporting that a €20m bid had been put forward, and was turned down by the Ukrainian club, with Bayer Leverkusen and Brentford having also shown interest.
Mudryk, who has impressed in the Champions League this season with three goals, has indicated that his potential preferred destination for a future move would be Arsenal – where his compatriot Oleksandr Zinchenko plays – amid links to a move this winter.
The wide man also has five goals in ten appearances for Shakhtar, who are due to face Rennes in the Europa League knockout stages next spring. He is under contract until 2026.
