Nancy fans to undertake “funeral march” on Saturday

Ahead of their next home Ligue 2 fixture against Quevilly Rouen on Saturday evening, Saturday FC, the Nancy ultras group have invited fans of the club to attend a “funeral march” for the former top-flight side who are staring relegation in the face.

AS Nancy Lorraine currently sit rock bottom of Ligue 2, with just 23 points after 33 matches played. While they are not yet mathematically relegated, defeat tonight away to Rodez, who occupy the relegation play-off spot, would finally sink the club, provided Quevilly Rouen also win this evening.

As a result, Saturday FC posted on Twitter on Sunday, writing, “New City Capital has buried our club, it is now time to mourn it. Come to the stands for the match against QRM. Everyone in black. We are Nancy!”
