Reports in Spain that PSG players Neymar and Gianluigi Donnarumma had to be forcibly separated in the PSG dressing room after the 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid last night have been denied by all concerned.
As reported by Julien Maynard of TF1, the entourage of goalkeeper Donnarumma denied any altercation between the Italian and Neymar took place before the Brazilian forward also denied the incident, saying: “It’s a lie. There was no fight in the locker room!” The PSG dressing room was instead completely silent after the game, reports Maynard.
Neymar even posted a screenshot of a message thread between him and Donnarumma, whose error led to the first Real Madrid goal, in which Donnarumma said he was “sorry for yesterday” in reference to the mistake and saying that the rumour of their fight was “unacceptable.” Neymar replied: “My friend! Don’t worry, it can happen in football. We’re a team and we’re with you. You’re very young and you will win a lot of titles. Get up and let’s move on! Friendship.”
