Neymar takes part in Monte-Carlo poker tournament after PSG’s draw with Strasbourg

As reported by RMC, PSG’s Brazilian forward Neymar followed his display in PSG’s 3-3 draw with Strasbourg on Friday night with a high-stakes poker tournament in Monaco this weekend.

The 30-year-old, a prolific poker player, finished 29th of 75 entrants in the NL Hold’Em-Unlimited Re-Entry tournament, which needed a €25,000 buy-in. Neymar followed that by finishing 74th out of 140 participants in a €550 buy-in competition, eventually being knocked out at 3am on Sunday.

RMC poker experts Benny and Yu explained: “Everyone must have though they were hallucinated to see Neymar on the 550 table, but he’s a real poker fan… Everyone was thrilled. He’s super nice, he’s a fan.”
