Nice target Sparta Prague’s Martin Vitík

Santi Aouna is reporting that OGC Nice are interested in Sparta Prague centre-back Martin Vitík (19) and discussions over a transfer have already taken place.

OGC Nice are expecting to lose centre-back Flavius Daniliuc (21) to Serie A side Salernitana. Gianluca Di Marzio reported earlier that the club were hoping to complete the deal by the end of the week.

One of the options being considered by Nice to replace the outgoing Austrian defender is Vitík, who has appeared 10 times for the Czechian youth side. His contract with Sparta Prague runs until 2024, and his profile is “strongly appreciated” by Lucien Favre.

Nice are expecting numerous reinforcements before the transfer window closes next week. Les Aiglons are expected to complete the signing of AS Monaco’s Sofiane Diop (21), whilst the club are also optimistic about a deal for Rennes’ Gaëtan Laborde (28). Favre’s side also continue to be linked with multiple left-backs, and it is an area where they still wish to strengthen.
