Nordi Mukiele announces Leipzig exit with PSG announcement soon

PSG and Chelsea target Nordi Mukiele of Red Bull Leipzig has announced his departure from the Bundesliga club on Twitter, suggesting that an announcement from either club over his signing is impending.

The 24-year-old French man spoke of his love for the ‘RBL family’ and stated that: ‘I wanted to thank you for everything you have done for me. You made me feel at home since the very first day I arrived and it is with heavy heart that I leave today. I want to thank everyone involved at the club that helped us reach our goals on a daily basis.’

PSG is very likely the wing-back’s destination after a five year deal was agreed earlier this week, with an announcement expected in the coming hours, say L’Équipe. The former Montpellier player had his medical in Paris last night and was left out of the German club’s party to face Bayern Munich.

Chelsea, however, were attempting to hijack PSG’s deal and were offering to include Leipzig’s former striker Timo Werner in exchange.
