L’Équipe are reporting that Championship side Norwich City are interested in FC Metz’s Fali Candé (24), although other departures from the Ligue 2 side could complicate a deal.
Candé only joined Metz from Portuguese side Portimonense in January for €2.5m but the versatile defender impressed during his 14 Ligue 1 appearances. Regardless of his good form, he couldn’t prevent Metz from making the drop down to Ligue 2.
Norwich City were interested in Candé before he made the move to Metz, and the player is now the subject of negotiations between the two clubs.
However, Boubacar Kouyaté (25) has refused to be selected by the club and has been suspended for four days by the club. The player is the subject of interest from Galatasaray, Cremonese and Hellas Verona. William Mikelbrencis (18) is also being pursued by German side Hamburg. Their two situations could complicate Candé’s potential move to Norwich.
